Today is JD's birthday...his 50th. I don't feel bad posting his age and there's a reason for that. I'm one year and one month older than him. And this morning he made the remark that he's 'catching up with me'. Hah! Ain't gonna happen.

JD's two oldest daughters, Danielle and Rae Rae had us over to Danielle's boyfriend's home last Sunday to celebrate mine and JD's birthdays. Burgers, hot dogs, with all the trimmings and a wonderful relaxing afternoon. I took some great photos which I'll share in another post. Right now I want to talk about cake!
Here is a photo of the last of the cake that his daughter Rae Rae made for us. Mississippi Mud Cake and it was the best MMC I have EVER put in my mouth! The bad part is that they sent the remainder (half the cake) home with us. By Wednesday evening this is all that was left. He ate half and yours truly ate the other half. Shame consumes me.(Not)
It was so good, the cake, the meal and most of all the company. Thank you Danielle, Rae Rae and J.
